To me, it appears that CZroe and I are allowing ourselves to BE trolled by YOU.

I lol'd, and seriously why can't so many of you americans get it right? English isn't even my second language and I know the difference.

The problem comes from it sounding almost the same in some dialects and them confusing the two from before they ever learned to read/write, so it is almost exclusive to native English speakers.

The problem is "then" in that phrase sounds better then using "than" and as Ichinisan said.
