Alabai. Possibly a big male kangal but my money is on alabai. Both are monstrous, and along with other very capable working dags like the Tibetan 'mastiff' and the Caucasian Mountain Dag (ovcharka) have become status symbols to affluent Chinese people.
Which means the dags are miserable because they're probably in backyards and not out in the sticks guarding livestock, also probably racking up a tally of city dags mauled or killed too. A unknown four legger wanders into a livestock guardian's territory and there's a fair chance that canine is about to die. 2 legged intruders get a bit more warning, but if they don't leave the dags will treat them like kidnappers, apply teeth accordingly. When dealing with humans they instinctively know to hamstring people then go for throat and face. They actually crush the life out of wolves with their mass, in addition to delivering bites. I think the name from the Caucuses literally means 'wolf crusher,' or one of them does I forget what it is though.
What I read anyway. But then I read about the American woman who decided to visit her neighbor uninvited, unannounced, and over a fence instead of the front door. The property was posted with warnings about the two kangals who lived there IIRC. She trespassed and was promptly knocked down by big dags who then almost de-gloved her head.
