Wouldn't that imply they left? When you're dealing with animals as elusive as they are dangerous, ones that also happen to multiply like Catholic rabbits, the population tends to go in one direction I'm pretty sure. Sexually mature in 4-5 months(!).
Hogs are a legit danger to both life and limb, in some cases your livelihood can be ruined overnight. As a bonus they spread diseases.
