I really hate geese. Not as much as raccoons but they're a close second.

I never had any strong feelings either way but when I started cycling thru the park and would be inhaling a constant stream of goose shit, I had to break down and put fenders on the bike.

Plus, they only haul feathered butt when you're right on top of them. After a while, I stopped braking for them.

We are on the approach path to a big field in the midst of tall woods, and we find random goose poop on our cars.
When we towed aerial advertising, we battled them constantly at Renton airport.
One time something spooked a few of them up in front of me on approach to pick up the banner with the 4 Lb rebar grapple hook.
I firewalled it and pulled up to avoid collision, and the grapple hook scored a direct hit.
Witnesses say that bird went into Lake Washington "Like a lawn dart"

I lost tolerance for low temps as I aged. My buddies and I use to grill out in the middle of winter when it was 0-10 degrees outside. Now? I catch a chill far easier/faster, and it'll last the rest of the day despite crawling under a pile of 10 blankets.

Snowboarding in single layers with little insulation seems such a foolish lifetime ago.

The older I get, the more I like the cold, and my tolerance to heat has dropped. It was 49° in the house when I got up this morning. A little chilly, but nothing a fire can't cure. I was working(not all that hard) this weekend with only a long sleeve shirt, and it was ~35°.

I don't wear shorts ever. I don't find them comfortable, and nobody wants to see my pasty white ostrich legs :^D

My first job working for a law firm, I was a glorified gopher. I sort of liked that since being in an office all day was soul crushing. So I had street maps for all of the surrounding counties. I was too cheap to buy the bound maps but since they tended to not have a lot of overlap between pages, it could be a struggle if your destination was on the edge of one of the pages.

I'm more of a 'flip flops all year long' guy. But even I put on boots or shoes when it gets into the 30's or low 40's.

Around the house though, it's "shorts only" - meaning long, boxer briefs mostly. I keep the house thermostat at 72 or 73 but the "upstairs" tends to hover around 78 or 79.

I've seen this multiple times now - when I take 300 to 600mg per day, it seems to increase my body's production of heat but without increasing my basal body temp of around 97.

Not really sure how that's possible but I definitely feel, not warmer, but hotter.
