OK, I want the Internet to find this woman:
That was at a Diamondbacks game. Saw it happen in real time. The announcers called woman out on her shit. Then the announcers brought the kid up to the announcers both and let him be on the air with them for the rest of the game and gave him a team signed ball.
"him" ? Looks like a little girl to me.
During a game between the Astros and the Diamondbacks at Minute Maid Park, a player tossed a baseball to a little girl in the stands. An awful woman standing next to her reached in front of her for a failed attempt at a catch. The girl caught it, but the greedy woman ripped it from her.
The disgusting woman then turned to her group to show off her baseball and gave high fives while the little girl walked away heartbroken.
In this 20-second video, you’ll hear a guy shouting at the TV because he thinks this woman is awful, too. He decides her name is ‘Pam’.
Check out ‘Pam’ looking like the world’s biggest jerk:
So far, I haven’t learned the identity of this woman, but I’d like to since we’re all making fun of her.
A commentator to the community event and happenings website Reddit.com reads: “The play-by-play and color guy saw it, pulled some strings, and delivered the girl an autographed ball.”
I don’t know what’s more disturbing – the sad theft of a baseball from a child, her post-baseball-theft celebration with friends or the mere fact that the inexpensive item from the terrible Astros was worth so much trouble to an adult.
Clich here to vote in my poll for who you’d like to see replace Carlos Lee in left field: the greedy lady, brokenhearted girl or the dude yelling at the TV.
If This Doesn’t Warm Your Heart, You’re Awful
We've learned a lot about fan psychology when it comes to foul balls. We've seen adults snatch them away from children; we've seen kids sulk until they're rewarded; we've seen grown men devote their sad lives to catching baseballs. There's something about that little sphere made of cork, yarn and leather that makes otherwise regular folks lose their minds.
Which is why this video from last night's Diamondbacks game melts even our permafrost countenances. Nicholas, as a young boy, is allowed to be upset about not getting the ball tossed into the stands by Rickie Weeks. But Ian's a kid too, and no one would have ever begrudged his taking the ball back to his seat and guarding it like a jealous lover. But the moment he notices Nicholas crying, and without the prompting of a parent, Ian walks down and hands him the ball because "it's the right thing."
Major props to the D-Backs broadcast booth, which hosted Ian and his friends and gave them some autographed bats and such. Doing the right thing usually works out in the end.

That's not why they're funny. They are funny for nearly the same reason the infomercial gifs are funny.
I found them funny, the guy who posted them found them funny, other will surely find them funny. If you don't, oh well.
