This is cool, but I do feel slightly bad for the bird. While I hate that particular type of bird (because they'll dive like that at me or my dog when I'm walking him), they really only do that to chase predators away from their nest. They aren't doing it to simply fuck with the cat.

That bird picked on the wrong fucking cat though.

Send in the eagles that drag mountain goats to the edge of cliffs and drop them to their doom (and simultaneously tenderizing the meat).

How anyone in the US can not recognize such a common bird is beyond me: It's a mockingbird.

Edit: Granted, they appear to be pretty rare residents of your state, but it's still almost as bad as not knowing what an American Robin looks like.

Then again, I was one of those kids who rolled his eyes at his friends who called Blue Jays "Blue Birds."

northern mockingbirds have a characteristic stripe on the underside of their wings.
if you take a look at the gif, the mockingbird is more or less just grey/brown until you see it hopping/flapping about with its wings open
