By all means, making the actual music does take some talent depending on how it's done, but once it's created and recorded, almost every dj just presses a button and on it goes. It's like making a playlist in your ipod and then playing that and making tens of thousands every concert.
You know he was creating that LIVE?
You know, it's entirely possible for the pro DJs who record music to perform that same music live? I mean, what's the difference between studio rock music and that same music performed live? It's now just stupid easy so why are they paid so much for concerts when they already recorded it? I don't think it works like that.
Thus, if someone like DeadMau5 takes something he recorded on an album but does all the same steps to perform live, I think they deserve the recognition.
If they only record it and then when in a club or something and just press play, well... I see the complaint. But many club DJ's are actually performing by recreating what they created previously.
