That's pretty funny. Except the Ottomans did have the biggest and most powerful cannon the world had ever seen up to that point.

Anyway, this is also good. Elementary and PoI are in syndication and here is their commercial for the two showing back to back on WGN

well practically it was not a cannon but a mortar details
and another thing it was build on the spot in the ground and was not movable

it was more or less a site that they could projectile heavy rocks to the walls.

and the day that it was the fall the turks enter the city from an open door
so cannon or not they entered from an open door.

so the only question to answer is why there was an open door and how the turks know that it was open.

hint the orthodox church sign a treatment with the turks to preserve all their rights and their fortune after the turks victory and they did with the exception of the big church in the capital that was transformed into muslim temple.

I didn't know about the open door. My guess is that once the wall came down, the folks in Constantinople knew the game was over and just tapped out.

The building you're talking about I think is Hagia Sophia.

yes the building i talked is Sophia
and because there was a legend born
that the byzantine empire will be reborn and they will take back the city from the same door the turks took it
the turks have destroyed the door and made it a wall
so you see no door no possible for the legend to be true any more

but the christians replied by saying the wall will be magical (an angel of the lord will break it) break where the door was and make an opening and the troops will recapture the city from the same spot lol

you do realize that there was not one wall but 2 or 3 lines of walls??? depending the area.

and the inner walls were getting taller and weighter

but the city fall from an open door

the people in Constantinople were so stupid and all become monks so they do not have to do army duty there were 500.000 monks inside the city while the turks were 220.000 strong
the last defenders were 6000 viking for hire mercenaries thats manned the walls

rofl at guy on right throwing up after seeing guy on left eat his own puke.
I'm cringing too.

It's a social response - we are humans, in our society, doing things as a tribe. Chances are, we just ate the same thing, so if you're throwing up, I should throw up now too and get it out of the way before whatever-it-was has time to do more damage.

Then the dogs can eat it.

So if that makes you laugh... well... sociopath alert.
