Umm, the guy could have slowed down and stopped? He had ages to do so when he saw the tractor was right in the middle of the road not stopping.

He chose to plow through for no reason risking potentially killing the guy on the tractor. So I guess if you have right of way it means right to kill?

dude, tractor guy just pulled straight out on to the road without any fucks. totally his fault.

Ha! You just gave me the excuse I needed to come back and give my subsequent thoughts and keep posting text in a picture thread!
How about, 80% tractor guy's fault? Idiotic not to look, but given the car-driver's failure to respond to the obstruction that he had plenty of time to see, I wonder whether he might also not have been looking. Maybe messing with the satnav or even texting?

oh yes, I agree. on first thought--asshole in car seemed to be driving like a dickbag...could still be a dickbag. But watching a second time, the fault is really on the farmer for not doing his singular responsibility, which is yield to oncoming traffic. Yes, the car could have and should have been able to slow down and stop, and is probably still a dickbag, but the farmer is at fault in the end, because you can see that he was no less distracted from the road than a potential texting driver in that car. If both have their eyes off the road, then which one of them is now most at fault? The farmer.

I blame 100% the car. If the car was not speeding (violating the law) would the accident have occurred? Most likely not.

You don't know if the tractor would have seen the car had it been traveling the correct speed. Also, if the car was traveling at the correct speed, he could have stopped to avoid the accident. I do accident investigation for the local police.

Car didn't really look like it was going that fast, how do you know he was speeding?
