How is Jet.com compared to Amazon and Newegg with returning ?

I ordered some speakers from Jet, nice discount. Some of the included mounting hardware was missing. Jet was a pain. Then they bounced me off to the manufacturer instead. Had to wait forever to get the parts in to finish mounting.

Haven't used Jet since then.

Amazon has become my #1 choice even if they charge a bit more at times, simply because of the 2-day shipping & easy return policy. I have never had any hassles sending anything back to them, and their customer service has always been prompt.

Newegg goes to DHL or USPS sometimes, so when I get my parts is sometimes a question mark.

The easy return is only for items eligible for free returns. Other items fulfilled by amazon, you have to pay for shipping it back.

Ordered a $12 item fulfilled by amazon, if I want to return it, I had an option to pay $7 to ship it back...ended up keeping the item.

Typically that's only if the order wasn't screwed up. If it's the wrong item, is broken, etc it should be free. The only time I was asked to pay return shipping was on something I ordered by accident. The item was fine, I just wasn't looking and ordered the wrong size. Since it was my fault I certainly didn't argue about having to pay return shipping, even though it would have been nice.

I ordered a Lear Jet 60 from jet.com!! No complaints they even tinted the windows and stocked the bar!!! Also included was a top of the line Jacuzzi!!!

I returned a guitar pedal once. It went smoothly.

Since Jet requires you to deal with the seller directly, it could become an issue. When you order, you could be ordering from a top seller or Joe Rizzo--you just never know. So based on that, Amazon, by far.

The one time I ordered something from Jet, I received the wrong item entirely. They took the return for free, but I haven't bought from them since.

Only tried them one time. Ordered some fancy machine embroidery scissors for my wife. They arrived with the blades bent so there was a huge gap between them. Jet blew me off. Kept saying it wasn't their problem. Contact the manufacturer. That was before Wal-Mart bought them.
Never again.

They aren't as organized but sometimes their prices are better, and for items they ship themselves I usually receive them next day. And they don't have the bullshit different categories like Amazon, so you can order a box of cereal or tissues and it will count toward the minimum free ship amount
