you know, everyone can "relate" to he rlittle stories, b/c we've all been there.
Here's the point, and try to think about: Once you get well past that age, mid-20s, say, you realize that those little dramas and feelings, as serious as they were, then, don't amount to a hill of beans.
this is why she has no relevance. Her little stories don't carry over as you mature, b/c they just become trite. It's a simple fact of aging and growing the fuck up.
Like I said--I totally get it and understand her spiel, but it simply isn't for a mature, experienced audience. Jewel rights to an older, wizened crowd.
Now, I would not be surprised that if Taylor keeps on trukcin for another decade or so, and remains a talented writer (becomes a bit more versatile, though), she would be writing relevant stories. the simple fact of it all: SHE JUST HASN'T LIVED LIFE.
it takes experience. she has the chops, but she's simply outclassed by generations and generations of solid songwriters that had interesting lives to write about. her life is...well, boring.
