If this is the way innocent palestinians are treated on their own land, more power to the palestinian freedom fighters.

You aren't a freedom fighter if you are attacking innocent civillians.

The Israelis are teaching the Palistinians the lesson the Palistinians are teaching the Israelis. Everybody is teaching but nobody is learning. So sad for the children.

I surprised they didn't claim the olives were used to make bombs or something of that sort.
This is slow motion genocide, Israel deserves to be destroyed if it doesn't change its ways.

You are not innocent if you are willing invaders of someone elses land.

It certainly is. And incessantly building neighborhoods on them instead using it as a supposed security buffer is extremely "willing".

Also building fencing on additional palestinian land to keep them away from these settlements is very "willing" as well as provocative, including another aggregious violation to international law.

I recommend for israelis that if they don't like the efforts and responses of the palestinians to claim their sovereignty to their own land, get off of it. Better yet, don't move in in the first place.

There is no legal/illegal in international politics. History dictates that those that lose territory in war have lost it. Only until recently has the idea arose that war should not be used to redefine political boundaries. This notion is incorrect and will only work if both sides actually agree.

Both sides are guilty of human rights violations. Neither side is going about this the right way, just like two siblings fighting. What we need to do is have someone act in the role of "parent," slap both children and put them in their respective rooms until they can deal with each other.

History never dictates, it recites.

Your reasoning would justify any land grab that the united states decided to take in any war it decided to fight, simply because our military is stronger. It would be very difficult to convince many people that the world was better before international laws were established.

Until laws are abolished and the supposed civilized world regresses much further beyond its current state, the occupied territories are not israels and those who move into them are breaking international law as well as knowingly risking their lives from the people who want the land back. Surprise surprise when they're targeted.

I guess US airmen firebombing Tokyo and Dresden weren't freedom fighters.
Go back to your naive little land.

You aren't fighting terrorism if you're starving families and forcing men, women, and children to leave their homes

That goes both ways of course....

I'm really disappointed in Sharon and cannot believe he's held that coalition together for so long. One of these days Israel will get a moderate government. Let's hope all the Palestinians aren't dead before then.

There is also no justifications for any actions on the international political stage. Countries act to protect their own interests. Anyone who argues otherwise is wearing rose colored glasses.

Explain something to me. Explain how a child living behind the greenline, getting on a bus behind the greenline to attend a school behind the greenline is a valid target.

okay, explain to ME how kids/babies either playing outside or just sitting at home are valid targets when their apartment building gets a 1ton (whatever it was) bomb/missile lobbed at them.

Israel will get a moderate government when the Palestinians take a lesson from Ghandi and stop attacking the Israeli citizens directly. When you blow up peoples friends and neighbors on a bus to work people start having very little sympathy for their cause. It's a simple fact, the Israeli government was much more moderate before the 2000 intifada started and the conservatives/settlement sympathisers only gained power after the palestinians started blowing up bus fulls of children.

All democracies would be reacting the same way Israel is if bus fulls of people were being blow up by terrorists. Hell 3000 people die in two buildings and we invade two countries and destroy their governments. Israel has over 10,000 casulaties since 2000.

They aren't valid targets, but they aren't being targeted either. Therein is the key difference you aren't acknowledging.

it's acknowledged that it IS going to happen whether they're targetted or not. how is that ANY better? how is one innocent life worth more than another one? how is another one more justifiable?

EDIT: 10000 casualties since 2000?????? where did you get that number?!
