According to this list of computer architects Jim Keller's K8 design was scrapped after he left AMD. What shipped as K8 was actually Fred Meyers design.

He probably helped quite a bit since he was the one giving all the interviews. But in regards to this thread he was the project lead of K8 when he left. It's not quite the same with Zen whose project lead is still with AMD and Jim Keller was in a higher, probably more managerial, position with a greater vision over all ongoing projects.Surely Keller still helped somewhat on Zen?

I thought your alliance was in consensus on the 'fact' that Keller, or Weber for that matter, is just one out of a zillion ppl working on such a design and therefor their contribution to the whole was negligible in respect to the final product.
