QFTMFT.. I moved to Texas and I love that place. My parents visited and we went there no less than 3 times in the week they were here.

Not a fan of Jimmy Johns. 9 bucks for a shitty sub is too much for my blood. Ill go to Subway and pay 5 bucks for an equally shitty sub and spend the 4 bucks elsewhere.

Their subs suck because of the way they make them. They put mayo on the sandwich before the cheese and meat and topings so by the time it's all made, the entire body of the sub is sliding all over the place in a self-contained pocket. JJ isn't the worst chain sub out there, that goes to subway in my opinion.
Your best bet at JJ is the actual sandwiches made on sliced bread, those are actually decently tasty and about right price wise.
I've never had a problem, I only rip off half of the wrapper and use the remainder to keep the meat in place. I wasn't some genius who thought of this by himself, thats how I observed others eating them. The only bite that slides around is the last one.
I'm sad, this is the only sandwich place outside a restaurant that makes sandwiches I can tolerate and everyone else hates it. =(

interesting, i ALWAYS put the mustard and may on the bread first when i make sammys/subs myself and even with sub rolls never have this issue, it actually annoys me that subn placed put it on the meat/condoments
I always put the condiments on the top piece of bread and it's never an issue. The problem with doing that on a sub is that they put it on both sides of the V, if they used it on one side it wouldn't be an issue. Similarly if they did what Subway does it also wouldn't be a problem.

Never been to a Jimmy John's, but charging extra for cheese on a sub is completely bogus.
I probably wouldn't care as much if it were like other places that charge 10 cents or a quarter for cheese... but $1.00 for a couple of thin slices? C'mon. Tell me at least before so graciously throwing it on my sub w/ a smile.

Seriously. People who keep quoting these prices, what the fuck are you ordering?
I get a regular sub for $3.75, and the Gargantuan is only $5.15.
What are you ordering to pay $10? It's like $5 for me for sandwich + drink!

It's all about food costs...do you live on your own yet? Price out a 12 pack of american cheese at the grocery. Maybe places have rose their cheese price considerably.
