Has anyone here picked up or have an opinion on this cooler? It's $40. A wee bit expensive, but my Socket F motherboard may appreciate it in the long run.

Price is a bit steep for it's performance though.

Yes. I was also looking at the Thermalright HR-05. It's cheaper and has a more flexible design as well.

It looks like it could do well even passive. I bet a lot of DFI users will be happy with it since it won't interfere with graphics cards.

even alot of non dfi nf4 boards look like they would have problems as well.

But, they aren't sufficent enough for the new upcoming Intel processor chipsets such as the i975x and other future chipset designs with higher bus frequencies. I'm well aware of what the Zalman has in production. Thank you, though.

I did find out about this cooler a month or so ago, good to see it's now available in North America. The great thing about the desigh is that if you are like me, my K8N Neo4 Platinum board doesn't allow me much flexibility in chipset coolers since the video card rests above the notrhbridge chip. The design of this cooler allows it to still be mounted but have the larger colling area away from the video card. Nice design, I just wish it was a little cheaper. Any availability in Canada?

Wow, I had no idea that the JTS0005 was being sold here already. But I agree with the kinda expensive post.

Can the HR-05 be adjusted to the side, i.e. 90 degrees?

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to as the pivot support allows for multiple angles. I want to order 2 of them, but the information is so vague of support, I'll wait until further information is released by either TR or some other trust worthy source.

Yeah, I searched but found nothing useful...only that the optional fan is attached with cable (zip?) ties.

So I think I'll wait too.

Good info, though. Thanks, now I'll be on the lookout.

is that an assumption based on what?
That won`t be known until the new upcoming Intel processors come out.
No sense making blind uninformed statements!!

Just to update the thread. The Thermalright HR-05 is $19.99 @ SVC.com. So, 2 HR-05's for $40, instead of, 1 Jingting for $40 sounds like a better deal here for me.

The Thermalright is a good cooler, especially with the optional fan but, it doesn't work with my board and video card so watch what you buy.......it wouldn't work turning the Thermalright but the Jing Ting is safely out of the way. I don't mind paying more for something that will just work and the Jing Ting is an awesome NB cooler that is definately out of the way for your video cards etc and seems to actually cool better than the Thermalright with the fan and the Jing Ting fan is quieter........

ya, the whole point of the jingting cooler is that it fits on alot of NF4 chipsets that are covered by a video card.

I probably wasn't exactly clear on the motherboard I was going to be using. Which was a Socket F Tyan Thunder K8HM. But, I figured out, only one HR-05 would work as opposed to 2. Which would bring me back to the Jingting sink. But, the board isn't available as of yet to make that final decision.

That's the point.

Yeah, but I still think that it will block the first PCI-e slot. Has anyone installed the JingTing on a DFI board and been able to install the video card without interference. I am thinking of changing out my custom made northbridge heatsink with it.

For some reason, I didn't see the second page (believe me I feel really stupid).

And could you possible post a pic of it unsped?
