JIXIB0338MPMW XP 1800+ LOCKED !! ??

i just bought a XP 1800+

AXDA1800DLT3C
JIXIB0338MPMW

default FSB/multipler are 133 X 11.5 = 1529mhz

i tried to changed the multplier thro bios of my NFS-7 2.0 but it would still show up as 11.5.

i tried multiplier 11, 12, 12.5, 13 ..but none of them worked...it would boot up as 11.5 and whatever FSB you set it too.

is it locked..or am i doing something wrong??

Well, i ain't got no 1800+ but a 2000+ Palomino XP and it's the same for me. Multi is locked, only via FSB I can oc it. I don't know if all of them were or are locked, but at least mine and yours seem to be. But there's this good old "close some L bridges" on the chip trick. Maybe that one helps u. Just google a bit and u'll ind plenty of info.

Week 39 and later are generally locked for T-breds. Yours is very close (week 38) and you may have been unlucky picking up a locked T-Bred. I've seen a week 37 barton that was locked so I speculate that your is locked as well.

can anyone lead me to a unlocking guide for xp 1800 t-bred ???

i did some search and everything leads me to http://www.ocinside.de

but its a bit confusing for me.

default vcore is 1.5v
default fsb = 133

and when i select 12x multi on the painting guide ...it gives me like 3100mhz or 4200+

i dont get it......

any help ?

It reads funny, and is confusing. Go by the last info that is in perenthethese (?), why they have it reading the way they do is weird.

And besides, I thought nForce2 had the ability to un-lock T-breds anyway's.

If this is a locked t-bred using the new post week 39 method than you are out of luck unless you can do the new mobile L5 mod. This may or may not work with an Nforce2 mobo though.
