The purpose of a BOV/BPV is not to protect against over boosting, though. How is 20psi off throttle any more abusive to couplers than 20psi in boost?

It's been a long wait, but finally my MR2 wheel has returned. Black Alcantara with orange stitching, courtesy of Redlinegoods.com. Now to find a black airbag, or dye mine black. The interior is almost done.

I had it done at Redline when they had my wheel for fitting. I got free installation since they didn't have a Mk2 MR2 wheel done yet.

Megasquirt PNP has been ordered and should ship Wednesday. I also ordered a boost control solenoid so I can control boost with the ECU instead of a separate boost controller.

It came with a baseline tune for an MR2 Turbo, so I edited the fueling attributes for my larger injectors/etc, and am letting the software clean up the tune from there. I'll be driving really easy for a while, haha.

The fuel cut mod was already unnecessary due to the ROM tune, but yes I now have complete control over everything. I can adjust my rev limit with a few clicks of a mouse, program boost control via the solenoid, etc. I think I can completely remove the OEM MAP sensor now, too.

Boost control is not working, so I went to wastegate pressure. I peaked at 19psi before going to wastegate (1 bar spring, actually making about 13psi). It pulled nicely, though. Once my AFRs are good across the board, I might start playing with timing a little. E85 likes lean cruise with advanced timing.
