job interview at 1pm tomorrow

So I am a lab assistant at my college in my department and I got an offer for another job, a higher paying job... So I accept it and schedule an interview. I have this interview now at 1pm tomorrow. First thing, I have never had to interview for a job before. All jobs previous to this have been almost handed to me. People have just said we need someone, are you interested? I say yes and thats it.

So now I am prepping for this interview, not going nuts or anything, but small stuff I figure i should do, and shaving was a large thing . Ironically got my hair cut today before I knew about the interview too.

Two things though... first is I assume I'm going to wear a nice pair of slacks and a shirt, but do I wear a tie? sport jacket? and second, how the HELL am I going to respond to the "why do you think we should hire you..." question as I have no idea....

Depends on the position. Also, be prepared for questions along the lines of "How would friends describe you", "What would you say your biggest failure was and why", etc.

just be confident, dont get nervous, just dress formally, dont need a tie i think, well depends on the company i guess

I always am. If I weren't being myself I just wouldn't be myself, if that makes sense... I don't put on a show though, I am me, deal with it

Those are hte ones I hate, I despise describing myself, I might have to think about those ?'s tonight and tomorrow before hand so I could have something decent to say...

I always try not to do that, even though thats how I feel 90% of the time . I get what your sayin though
