I recently accepted a job offer for Farmers insurance as an office claims rep at their call center....and the job starts in 3 weeks. Although it has nothing to do w/ my math major degree, the pay is good, benifets is good, and I think I will do well.
Just yesterday, I got a call from the oklahoma security employment commission asking for a job interview. This job has to do with statistics, so it is closer to my major. The salary is about 7000/year less then the insurance job.
Although I feel happy w/ the insurance job, do I still go interview at the government office for the statistican position? Although the pay is a lot lower, being a "state" job and all, will their be any benifits that can convince me to change my mind?
