I?m looking for some open-source (or even pay-use) software for Job Scheduling. Basically, i need some software for a service centre to manage the volume of incoming equipment repairs and service. We need a way to do the following (or this is what i've been told!):
1. Relate with our customers (so a basic CRM) that tracks customer contact details, so it reminds us to call customers on status changes
2. Assign tasks to particular technicians
3. Generate invoices ? probably achievable through some integration with Quickbooks or MYOB. MYOB is currently used but showing a great tendency to move to Quickbooks Premier or something better.
4. ?Service Records? which are separate to the invoices, but which the technicians fill out and they state what has been done.
5. Web-based so technicians can access it and write to it both in-store and on the road
6. Provisioning to schedule jobs and issue reminders to the technician who is assigned the job
Features-wise, I was looking for something that did the following:
1. Integratable with an existing customer database.
2. I?m not fussed if we have to do a couple of weeks development ourselves (especially if it is open-source) to integrate it with our existing system, or to add cool features like SMS notifications to our customers of when machines are ready to pickup
Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated!
