I recently applied for a position which I believe I'm well qualified for. It also happens that this position is at my dad's former employer. After submitting my application I asked my dad if he knew anyone in the division in which I applied. It turns out that the manager of this division is an old friend of his. Besides the application I filled out on the company website, my dad also sent an email to this manager with my resume attached. He replied that he would keep me updated on the position, however, it's been two weeks now and I haven't heard anything. I know that's not a whole lot of time to get anxious over, but I was thinking about sending another email to reinforce my interest in the position. Of course I don't want to annoy the guy, so do you think two weeks is too soon or should I even send another email at all?
