Political discussion shouldn't be treated as a pissing competition.

In another thread I strongly recommended that Biden should step down, but I'm not happy about him doing so as I very much want the US to curb-stomp the GQP into oblivion, and Biden represented stability (provided that he could keep himself together). If the US falls to fascism, then the odds of a lot of other Western countries following suit goes up; Brexit was the same fall for populist bullshit that Trump represents. If however the electorate unequivocally shows the GQP the door (to the point that the remainder of the GQP decides to start learning from its mistakes rather than doubling down), then the balance of power in the world tips a little in favour of the saner elements.

Hopefully the US can get over itself enough to vote a non-white woman into power.

That would take a massive effort of disinformation to make that happen such as suggesting the ballot date moved to the day after. If you can outsmart the "smart" voters then there's a chance. There should be a proficiency test for voters though kind of like there should be for people before being allowed online. Dumbing down computers to get more people online was a dumb idea unless you're shareholder for the companies selling devices and services. Maybe with certain people switching back to dumb phones will help reduce the noise.
