Joel Osteen is one of those "pastors" that makes me sick. The only thing he serves is the money and the sheep follow. As a Christian I'm just amazed how these swindlers can milk people especially in the US. Prosperity theology and all that bullshit is just so, so twisted. I'd argue that it's a clear heresy and something else masked as Christianity. It's more like some kind of new age nonsense. The clowns put a show and people flood them in money.

Some Christians just don't question them at all which is really sad and just shows that they don't do any research themselves nor read the Bible themselves. You can't just accept everything what people or these "pastors" say. You have to check the facts and check whether or not the things they teach actually comply with the Bible. Without scientifically verifiable evidence. There is plenty of evidence for Christian's who do have faith. We have personal experiences that condition our faith in God.

How could one, likewise, have and belief in the validity of science without having done some personal experimentation in school. I have a B.S. in Physics and place allot of trust in science, but am also a Christian. Those with the simplest of faiths are the ones that are vulnerable to a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Hey, one can also take comfort from the thought that his ilk are doing significant damage to the US economy (by diverting so much spending to non-productive use) and educational system (by ensuring great swathes of the country will never contribute anything to biology in particular). Well, at least those of us in the US's economic and strategic rivals can.

It's scary to think how powerful the US might be if it weren't held back by aspects of its religious culture.

I'm not sure what such a person thinks that they gain by contributing universally reviled ...content.
