Turner Motorsports is a pretty respectable company.

A hot deal can be one off. This is not an auction, but you are a n00b cparent.

If it's not a hot deal for you move on and don't crap on the thread.

I am willing to bet if you were interested and called you would find the injectors and intake were included, just not pictured.

Also the original Mini kit did not have the intake nor injectors...there is a nice write up here
http://www.gbmini.net/wp/jcw_upgrade/

Stage 8 mentions the two new parts for 2005

Ahhh, I have an 05 and didn't know previous years didn't include those pieces. Just goes to show that this kit may be 2 or more years old then.

Age doesn't really matter on unused car parts. Hence why NOS is so pricey and sought after. Turner Motorsports is a top shelf BMW tuner/race company...they are not going to screw up their name with junk. The kit is going to be as good as new and they may even lend technical support.

I just talked to a friend of a friend with a Cooper and if it were before Christmas he'd have been all over this.

The air intake and fuel injectors are useful in only high rpms, or if you retune the kit.

alkemyst, I don't think you have a damn clue what your talking about. First of all I think your talking about Nitrous Oxide when you say NOS. NOS is actually a brand that sells crappy Nitrous Kits. Second you can easily get a basic nitrous oxide kit for $500.

Also, The air intake and larger fuel injectors are very useful. Most supercharger applications require both of these parts or at least recommend having them.

Not quite. NOS = New Old Stock. Parts that are no longer manufactured by highly sought-after. Like, say, the older Linux-based Linksys WRT54G routers or certain CPU steppings that overclock better than the recent ones.

can we get a ban on these freaking idiot N00Bs?

Also dumbass, the kit is designed to replace the factory supercharged car's parts....

Actually Trevor, the JCW air intake IS only useful at high RPMS. It's like the stock air intake in most respects, but after 4200 (i think thats the number) RPMS, there's a flap that opens to let more air in... but below 4500, it performs just like a stock intake.

As for the injectors, they also won't be helping much unless you're trying to dump more fuel into the engine which would also only be at high RPMS.

Alkemyst, things do change between years. I believe the 05's have a getrag tranny, and the 04's do not. I also believe that the 05's exhaust hangers changed, and if thats true then an older JCW exhaust wouldn't hang without modification. And last but not least, if that kit was installed in a Mini for 2 years and used, then removed and resold as a complete kit, then I don't think you'd get the exact same performance out of the head as you would if it were new. The last one is just an assumption on my part though.

It's a brand new kit. It was not installed, if you looked at the link (it's down now at 5pmEST 12/30) it shows everything sealed and the plastic wrap on the exhaust tips.

I don't know why this is such a difficult thread.

A properly installed head within 2 years of it's life should not give any less performance than new when reinstalled especially if cleaned...however; this is not the situation here.

I too believe that this should not be in the hot deals forum. Posting something with just "1 in stock" is basically like posting an auction or maybe should even be in the BUY/SELL forum.

Besides, you need to buy a mini cooper to install this. The Mini Cooper is by far not a hot deal .

Good looks either way alkemyst since its like 3k off retail.

That makes absolutely no sense as people are not bidding on the single item (auction), nor is the OP making any proceeds from the deal (FS/T).

Read the rules and move along if the deal doesn't interest you.

My apologies, I was unaware that NOS means New old stock as I am not familiar with that acronym, thank you Odeen for pointing that out. I still disagree about the intake and injectors, I would figure anyone who is spending $2500 to upgrade there car would probably want these parts as well, although I admit I am not familiar with minis. Also I was not referring solely to the JCW intake as I have no idea how that intake works, but more along the lines of a standard K@N cone filter kit or something similar.

As for the injectors I know a lot of kits don't require them, The Jackson Racing Supercharger Kit for my car does not require larger injectors according to Jackson Racing, however most people realize that there stock injectors are not really suitable for the added air coming into the engine. Again I am not familiar with the Mini and it is possible that the mini has fairly big stock injectors and does not need them.

Not being aware that NOS meant New Old Stock way before NAWS (especially went it was being used in context) excludes you from ever posting in a car thread on the internet again.

The kit is for the 2002 - 2006 Cooper S which has upgraded injectors and is supercharged from the factory already.

Also like I have said you can add the JCW intake (I would look for a different option as it's over $300) and the injectors if you desire (injectors should be around $50 each).
