Think these threads should be merged.

Anyway.... I think this puts us in a bit of a strange position, because he is technically a celebrity (ie his real persona is known outside of these forums) as well as, as you say, a poster.

However, many people are irritated with the antics of his persona - are we not allowed to say so? I see worse things said about Obama every day.

Tossing around words like lies and scams for a guy that most likely just passes on information which he was provided.

I'm sure nearly everyone in here has told someone something that they heard from another, which turned out to be false.

I'm pretty sure I remember it correctly when it was established that JFAMD was being fed inaccurate information from his own company. So, he believed what he was telling you, at least. I felt kinda bad for him when bulldozer went down and he was mercilessly and relentlessly attacked here.

Could very well happen. So many people have left AMD I don't even recognize them anymore. I really believe that as long as AMD is competing directly with Intel, they will never get anywhere. They need to pick their battles and focus in on markets Intel can't effectively counter.

If he was actually being fed this info from the inside as a marketing campaign, then he should out those people and I will have a tad more respect.

I don't think this is flaming, this is a mature conversation as to what happened up to the BD launch. We were all questioning his info, and I personally think that what he did was worse than anything that anyone affiliated with a brand has done in the VC&G forum.

I see no point of this thread beyond the news that he is no longer with AMD. People who have a strong opinion about him because of it need to get a life. It's not like he swindled little old ladies out of their life's savings.

guess you didnt read other forums where he vehemently fought against other forum posters when they raised concerns, defended his comments as fact, made remarks painting the processors in a hyped overly positive light. regardless of whether it was stuff he was either fed or claimed to know he pretty much staked his rep on that information.
