Unlike John Reed who went on to write brilliantly about the Bolshevik Revolution as history unfolded all around him, John Walker will probably not end up penning his own memoirs, he was not there in Afghanistan informing the world about his magnificent exploits on behalf of the Afghan people, he was not there to for the selfish commercial reasons so popular with vain Western governments nowadays. No, Our Man Walker was there fighting for the great principles in the same
time honored fashion as great revolutionaries in the past. His sacrifices might upon initial inspection not bear the same need to act against the oppresive forces that were felt firsthand by the native peoples of Afghanistan. But who's are ? Which transplanted Westerner who has awakened to reality of world wide Corporate Persecution did not first arise from the same vile pit of materical excesses that mass produces servile humanoids.
John was living a comfy bourgeoisie life in some typical consumerist hamlet, pampered by boring indolent pursuits like so many unfeeling Westerners, inured to their surroundings and made numb to feeling of so many hurt and persecuted by invasive Imperialist interests.
