Sure, let's take all the classic superheroes and cast them like the United Nations. I can't wait for the Asian Green Lantern movie, or the Pakistani Flash movie. Let's not forget the Fantastic Four movie, where the Invisible Woman will become an American Indian lesbian, and the Torch will be Latino.

I don't think it's a matter off having minorities being represented. Just they seem to think that, just because Beyonce is popular, people will like her as Lois Lane.

well they did make the kingpin black...and bullseye didnt wear a mask but had some funky thing on his forehead...they changed the origin of the hulk...so this isnt a surprise

Though originally portrayed with a full head of red hair, from 1941 onwards Luthor came to be portrayed as completely bald due to the mistake made by an artist who worked on the Superman daily comic strip. Shuster preferred drawing bald villains anyway, so the more striking bald appearance ? a Luthor trademark ? was thereby adopted. First he tried to show Superboy with a series of grandiose technological projects, only to have them all go dangerously out of control and requiring Superboy's intervention. Unwilling to accept personal responsibility for this accidents, Lex rationalized that Superboy was out to humiliate him and tried to murder the superhero.

He is black in the Superman Animated series and the Justice League animated series. The funny thing is IIRC Lex Luthor switched from white to black right in the middle of the television series. I remember hearing about it a few years back.

Salma Blair is too creepy looking and DEATHLY skinny to be LL IMHO. She may be "plain" looking, but I think that Maggie Gylenhol sp? would be perfect. If you guys have seen Secretary, you'd agree.

wow...I don't particularly cherish Depp in Luthor's role, despite loving him as an actor, but I trust that he'll do a good job and surprise us all yet again. Beyonce, however, really pisses me off...she should've stayed with the parodies (i.e. Goldmember)
