He is black in the Superman Animated series and the Justice League animated series. The funny thing is IIRC Lex Luthor switched from white to black right in the middle of the television series. I remember hearing about it a few years back.

Though, I could just see Hollywood getting Will Smith to play the part. :disgust:It would be ok if they left race out of the movie, but you know what ever studio is going to lay some stereotypes on him or "urbanize" him. Hollywood tends to stereotype blacks into certain parts. There needs to be more educated films that have black leads like "The Brothers", "The Best Man", "Two Can Play that Game" and "Brown Sugar" and less of the stereotypical garbage that they are producing now....not that I'm complaining about "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka" "Don't Be a Menace to South Central ..." or "Harlem Nights", but I'd like to see more diversity

I love that movie, and the line was funny, but Eddie was wrong. Cuba Gooding won an Oscar for Jerry Maguire . . . his character played football for the Arizona Cardinals but I don't think that made him retarded or a slave.

Denzel would never do it though. He is looking for rolls to stress his acting ability. Will Smith though ...barf. I could not watch Muhammed Ali with a straight face. I can think of several black stars that could play the part of Superman, just not Clark Kent, shy Kansas share-cropper. Cuba Gooding Jr. could play Clark Kent, just could not see him as Superman
