Hello all, after soloing on RC5 for a while, I finally decided to join TA, mostly for the more rapid stat updates and the races . I currently have a Dual P3 800, 1 Celeron 566 @ 850, G4 450, 3 G3 400s, 1 G3 366, 1 G3 333, 1 G3 220, and a P2 350 cracking, though the Dual P3 is on and off, I built it for a medical research facility my parents work for, it only cracks when people are logged in (meaning sometimes it cracks daylong, othertimes, it doesn't crack at all). Debating whether its worth it to setup 2 601 70mhz and a P1 100mhz. Anyway, theres my herd.

That G4 alone is probably worth most people's entire herds! They are amazing at RC5 (and probably would be at many other things if MacOS was such a piece of ... :disgust: )

First of all, welcome! You definitely have a respectable herd!

I have two suggestions for you.

1. Flush your machines through our team proxy www.teamanandtech.com. You'll find all the instructions under the DNet section.

2. I'm assuming that the dual P3 system is running WinNT/2K. If so, it's really easy to get the client running whether or not someone is logged in. To install the client as a service, simply log on as Administrator and run the dnetc cliet with the switch -install i.e. dnetc -install The client will be set up to run automatically with other services on the next boot. To start the service running without rebooting, just type dnetc -svcstart and it's up and going. There will be no screen output, so I would recommend using logging.

Heh, well, the G4 doesn't crack a ton... yet, it is still running OS 8.5 which has no G4 support, so it's running like a G3, I plan on upgrading the os soon. That machine has an interesting machine, it was purchased originaly as a 9500 around 1994 and has suffered a half dozen processor upgrades, drive upgrades etc. right now it has its own fleet of SCSI periferals. But yeah, that should pick up some once I upgrade to OS 9, next time I have access to the dual machine I'll do that, and I cannot stand descent 3, the demo made me puke, I prefer games where you have 2 feet firmly anchored on the ground, or at least games which involve gravity .

Also, don't join the Borg. Before you know it you'll have implants all over you. We, The Federation, know how to take care of such implants. Just look at Seven of Nine for proof. Didn't we do a great job???
