Man I never thought some stupid TV judge who probably does single digits in the ratings gets 30 million a year! I'm in the wrong field.

"Abstract: In a deal believed to be worth $30 million-$35 million annually, Paramount Domestic Television Thursday extended Judge Judy's term on the bench for another four years through the 2009-2010 season."

I think the judge shows have a huge target audience, the same ones that watch Jerry Springer, Ricki Lake, etc

She was a family court judge and started out as a prosecutor. According to the piece on her on 60 Minutes and everything I have read she was pretty much the same in real court as she is on her TV show.
