Jump Drive not showing up on my PC, but on others?

I have a couple of 128mb jump drives that used to work on my PC just fine and now don't even register. I plug them into any other PC and works fine, so I know that they aren't bad. I've updated windows and deleted my USB drivers and rebooted...still nothing and they still work on other PC's. What's up with that?

That is a common problem that occurs when you do not
use the "Safely Remove Hardware" Windows function.

Tends to mess up BIOS/call settings in Windows.

Try removing ALL power to the PC (let it sit for 10 minutes w/no power).
If that fails, reset the CMOS also (removing all power also).

I'll try that. I think you are right about why it is happening, and that it is common.

Are you using any mapped network drives? Windows has a bug that caused a USB drive to always use the next available drive letter, even if it's already assigned to a mapped drive. The workaround is to go into Windows Disk Management and re-assign the drive letter for the USB drive.
