Jumped ship!

I have been devoted to AMD for 1.5 years. Yesterday i bougth P4 1.6A Woody, Asus P4B266 and keept my PC2100 DDR Crucial. Without having any expirience at all with Intel platforms of today i ended up @ 2400Mhz with the retail heatsink. Eventough AMD might be faster when comparing same speeds and above it feels VERY good to achive a 800Mhz overclock in a slightly overheated closed case. Simply amazing!

I wouldn't say I've been devoted to AMD, but that what my personal systems have been for the last couple years. I still build Intel systems and AMD systems. I usually tailor the machine to the client. Just build a really nice inexpensive system with a Biostar mobo and a Celeron 1gig chip that really ran Windows XP very nice.

But to the moral of this story, I just JUMPED SHIP too............

Yep, me too!
I've been doin Amd for the past 4 years mainly because of price and partly because they were the underdog.
Heck, I think the last Intel I owned was a first generation pentium 60!

But heck with the kind of overclocks everyone's getting with these pups I had to go for it.
Just did the deal at Gateway for the p4s333 mb and the 1.6a at Newegg.

I'm curious what AMD's next generation will do as far as overclocking. Maybe the smaller dies will have the same overclocking potential as these Northwoods? and then I'll be jumping back of course.
