Let me know if you want to unload those U2412Ms on the cheap. I love mine and surround sounds like fun...
The no brainer is the UHD650 from Wasabi Mango for what looks to be $1500-1600?
for 65 inches, 4K, Freesync, it's still a monitor so good input lag times?
Yes!
So I guess we can make any monitor look like a no brainer if it's what we like =D.
I'd personally go for the Wasabi Mango UHD420 in that price range, but again, we're 2 different types of 4K buyers.
Poor uniformity on such a big display. Better off waiting for LG OLED prices to come down.
Then waiting for LG OLED freesync.
Then I probably should wait for 4K LG OLED Freesync 120hz.
Then 8k will be on the horizon.
Do you have a source for poor uniformity?

I don't know how people can still stomach sub-100dpi displays after looking at their high dpi mobile devices all day (with even budget phones being around 300dpi these days). 4K at 46"? No thanks.
27" seems like the sweet spot for 4K to me, striking a nice balance between pixel density and size (assuming your software scales), although I prefer 24".
The official pages at OC for the UHD 420 and 490 have several people complaining about it. Mine is perfect in that aspect and no bleeding. My 27" had some bleeding not bad but it had some.
I've never owned any large TV or HDTV (old freebie CRT TV at one point). Never used or owned an HDMI cable. I have a feeling I never will.
How do you watch a movie?
Please don't tell me sitting at your desk
Wow Dell hits another out of the park. The uniformity, colors and contrast are spot on. I did not have to mess with any controls or video card settings. Very easy on the eyes. The fact that for 520 bucks you get a monitor of this caliber with 3 years pro warranty (ie they send you a new monitor right away and you send the bad one back) and pre calibrated from the factory with report.
So far so good.
If you believe 27inch is the sweet spot you haven't experienced a decent 40inch 4k monitor. For example the 40inch Phillips 4065. I went from 27inch 1920-1200 27inch 4k (a pointless size for such resolution) which I sold after barely using to 27inch 2560/1440 to 40inch 4k and guess what? The 40 inch 4k is simply in a different league to all the others by a country mile. It's dot pitch is very good as is it's picture quality. I'm getting ready for someone to wonder why they aren't making 14inch 4k monitors and proclaim that that is the sweet spot because it has a very small footprint.
