I didn't mind the CG in the original because they balanced it with tons of awesome practical effects. The presentation of the park was also much more believable.
Ugh when seeing the camera fly over the CG monorail track.
Ugh seeing the Megaladon or whatever splash all the smartphones (easily foreseen; park mgmt would have accommodations).
Ugh at seeing other fantasy CG vehicles.
Ugh at staff bragging about something they know clients will have a negative reaction to (GMO! ZOMG!).
Ugh all around... just... ugh.
They've said the intro with the gates and monorail was simply for the trailer, and will not be in the film. That will explain the lesser quality in the CGI work.
Maybe their smartphones are waterproof? They exist now - this is clearly in the future.
Also regarding the future wheel-things: dude, it's a movie, in the future. The art of storytelling gives you creative license. Did you get frustrated with the flying DeLorean and clear disregard for nuclear physics and reality in BTTF? Or did you simply enjoy the show?
Of course staff would brag - they aren't bragging to the public, they are bragging to people inside. All GMO people brag about their progress to their peers, business partners, and other people. Regarding the public, they simply release the product and the only bragging they conduct is simply "new, better, enjoy!" or tout the benefits. They typically DON'T reveal to the public "well, we switched this and that gene and messed with these and those areas of concern and selectively bred the resulting products until these genes and those features were dominant and successful in future breeding... blahblahblah."
Also, it's a movie - if people want real life accuracy, they should clearly not be watching movies where man brings dinosaurs back to life in a park.
