Not an option. The way I feel right now it wouldn't be any kind of fun. Besides, don't have a cough. I'm using all my handkerchiefs, though, got a runny nose now. I do feel a lot better but nowhere near OK.Just go and cough on everyone, im sure they'll let you go asap.

Well, the summons says you can get a "one time" delay of from 6-12 months if you call the number. I'm hesitant because I'm thinking what if I need another delay next time. Answer is probably nothing. They are too damn busy to go after people who shirk their jury duty. I'm improving fast right now but I figure there's a good chance I will have a runny nose Monday. Maybe I'll just go, see if they'll dismiss me and hang around if they don't. There's at least an even chance their phone system will just say I've completed my service without my having to show up. I think I will call my dentist and cancel my Wednesday appt, though. Don't want to pass my cooties there!
I hear ya, man the courts can really be fucked up. My summons has a number and gives a website where I can postpone, my choice. I decide to do the website. Their link doesn't work. So, I do a google search and come up with it. I log in, am not sure when my last jury duty was, go to my filing cabinet, come back and reenter the info. I get an exception error in Apache. I go to their website again and put in my juror number and DOB and it won't let me in. Start over, same thing. Fuck it, I call the phone number and go through the automated system and rescheduled for the maximum time out, 1 year. I pick a Tuesday because Mondays are bad for me.
