Just a quick Hello

Old timey cruncher here who just jumped back in the game. Ran SETI way back in the day in 2000 (still got some milestone jpeg's on an ext drive somewhere, even when out to visit Arecibo in 2001). Then I did some BOINC-ing for the TeAm with SETI and Rosetta but got out of it between moving around and some other stuff.

Anywho work retired a workstation which I have given a new home in my basement. And with it being winter in the New England I figured, what a good time to start crunching again. My "new" rig is a Dell T7600 running dual XEON E5-2609's, 16Gb of ECC RAM, and a Quadro K2000 vid card. Just got it set it up too late to help out with the f@h race, so I'm back to crunching SETI and Rosetta.

Nice donation from your work , 2x4 cores @2.4 GHz is a good amount of CPU crunching power , should you ever feel the need to spread beyond SETI & R@H, Skynet POGS & Asteroids@H still do well on CPUs.
