Do you ever just have one of those days...or moments where you just think and stare at empty space. Where your mind is at some halt or at least you're thinking of that. Where you kind of begin to think of why you are there and why you are doing what you're doing. Where you feel that you're giving into this world and just flow in line like a trail of ants all following each other. Or like when you're driving just hearing the sounds around you, either the radio or just the sounds of the tire turning at the speed and just think of nothing. Nothing doesnt really sound possible but do you know what i'm talking about. When you drive down a freeway thinking of nothing but just following the car infront of you. Then when you look up into the sky and see an endless journey of unexplored terrain. Then you sort of question yourself in extistence of maybe something else out there. And in that particular comparison you get some strange feeling. A feeling of despair followed by some long sigh. Sorry. I've just been wondering if anyone else thinks like this in some strange odd way. Maybe I'm thinking too much and I should just finish this subway club in front of me.

i certainly know what you are talking about here, i am famous for getting in my car for say going to the store to get something or whatever then getting lost, but then sometimes you just get this feeling of clamness, no matter how noisy or busy it is outside or how load the radio is, everything just seem to be quiet, people and cars moving around me suddneling look as if they are moving slower, i start to wonder what are all those people doing here, what are the circumstances that brought them all together in this spot of earth at the same time... what will happen in a few minutes from now, whats happening to people inside all those buidlings, then you see the sky and trees or caost wince i grew up in a costal area, and wonder, this is so beautiful, how can we have disagree on so many things when you are surrounded with all those miracles where ever you set your eye, this may sound really starnge, but does it ever happen to you, that you suddenly look at someone and you are wondering, wow, look at the shape of us humans, its like you forget what humans look like before and this is the first time i see them. and i end up driving for hours sometimes, almost unaware of what i am doing or where i am going, yet i am driving perfectly fine, its like i am driving in the back of my mind, then all teh sudden i wake up, and the radio is still playing and load, yet i didnt hear one word, and i am still driving with my hands on the steering wheel, yet i am somewhere i have no plans to go when i first got into the car.... dunno what exactly happen, its like you get lost in a day dream then you are awakened by subtle signs of life again.......

I've those moments often. Reguarly when I go into some kind of semi-sleep to process data, such thoughts might occur to me, but mostly when I'm just walking over street, or am anywhere near other people, I often try to see their actions as part of a larger 'scheme', but usually the results are unsatisfying. Their lives are insignificant and no one, not even society will benefit from their existance. They live unnoticed and then die.

pulpp: you actualy hit the target. For a minute there I was beginning to think that I was alone in this strange routine world. I too have those strange feelings where I look at something and it looks as though i've never seen it before. Mainly object and such but never humans. The principle is there but not towards human. The thing with me is that I drive to my soul destination not like you where you drift away from your path and wonder elsewhere. My life is just so routine that I cannot force my direction to another path. Maybe thats why I am here. But at least I am glad i'm not alone in this strange path. I just feel strange and empty minded sometimes. Thinking of nothing, but bliss and air. The stars above are so powerful. Maybe if obiwayne was here he might shed some sort of light. I just get these strange peeks

sorry for my messed up post btw, and yea i get this feeling of seeing something for the first time with both objects and humans, specially with little kids sometimes, or seeing people walk or cross teh street right infront of my car, i start thinking, this is a body walking infront of me, yet it has a soul, and that soul is driving that body to be in this place at this time, just like i am in the same place at the same time, its just a body but somehing inside it can be so creative and capable of things that cant be explained like feelings, sometimes i look in wonder at just the miracle of people walking, and makes me think, we were given so much, even the most mundane task we do is an endless mircale in itself, but why are we here, what if all those people who are in the same place at the same time didnt come here at this specific moment in time, would the world be different? and same thing happens with objects, sometimes i would hold say a ball in my hands and feel it like i never felt something round before. my girlfirend used to think i am wierd for looking too much in her eyes all the time, but there is just something in the human eyes, its like a bridge between the physical world we can observe and something beyond, that soul that driving our body to do everything it does... dunno if thats might be the reason i used to kiss her eyes so much lol


anyway, i am hungry, i am off to get some food.... there is nothing in the apartment

That's the times when you have forgotten your lines.

An exercise for you. This works best laying on your back, at night, staring up at the stars.
Try to imagine yourself looking down on yourself. See yourself laying on the small patch of ground. Then expand it out to include your city. Imagine all of the other people and what they are doing, all from the perspective of you being in outer space looking down. Keep expanding that feeling until you see yourself as just one small part of a race on a huge spinning ball.

Sometimes when I am driving home a stillness comes upon me. I really *see* the world around me and I marvel at the beauty and wonder of it all. I feel...happy, wonderful just to *be*, I don't feel lost or insignificant, I feel strangely ecstatic. I dunno, lately I've been thinking about society, people, economics and the meaning of it all. I wonder, what worth would anything have without *us*, the people, to assign worth to it? Then I feel contentment and happiness and the world rushes back in but I'm still grinning like a fool as I start drumming the steering in time to the beat of song playing from the stereo. hrm....well anyways, back to work!

when i get into that &quot;thinking&quot; mode i will purposely drive the speed limit so that it seems like every one else is flying right by me and im just kind of lagging behind, not taking any initiative in anything, as if i were this unnnoticed citizen in the state of busy-ness. then i get to thinking how many people there are in this world, or country or state or city, and i think to myself..&quot;Who am I, in this city? No one!&quot; it doesnt make me sad, it makes me realize the truth. i realize that i cant change things as easily as one could 50 years ago. i cant go out and just do what i want. I must be me, but at the same time, accept the fact that i truely cannot show my true self or i wouldnt be served at the same restaraunt, with the same respect that i always get there. or if i were to show my true self i wouldnt get that warm,&quot;Have a nice day&quot; at the local market.
