good question but i am not sure why i let my lawyer pick a doctor, i didn't even call my primary physican when i got in a serious car accident even do he is family friend and i had all of his info, his home number, pager, cell etc.

Perhaps it was because you were more worried about how much money you'd get for pain and suffering?

it could have been that i was worry that if i don't talkk to an attorney really soon that i may not be compensated for medical treatment

The other driver was probably going about 15-25 mph when he hit my car, and that gave me a jolt. I woke up this morning and my neck was a little stiff, but with a little neck excercises and stretches its fine now.

The only reason why I would be needing a lawyer at this point is if the other guy tries to place the fault on me. Even then, I would just have the claims adjuster come out and look at my car. Anyone who saw the pics I posted would know that that only way that kind of damage could occur was either me backing up, or him rear-ending me. I would have to back up pretty fast to do get that much damage.

Ahha...hopefully you don't have allstate...they'll make you (some %) at fault whether you like it or not..!!! Its just the way they operate.

The guy behind me apparently thought I was going to go for it, so he didn't bother to brake and rammed into my car. His car has no damage cause he was driving a big ole van, but mine is all screwed up. Bumper, lights, rear side fender, and rear frame, and maybe rear suspension. I'm pretty sure its 100% his fault, but just in case, I'm going to detail the accident with my insurance agent. (wished I had my digital camera with me)

My car is a beautiful silver moss 1997 240SX in perfect condition before this accident... now it's all screwed up in the back. My question is what happens now after I talk to my insurance agent? Can I bring the car to a body shop of my choice?

PICTURES:
Picture 1 Right side of the bumper... not too much damage here except bumper is crooked.
Picture 2 Rear view of the car.. you can see the damage now.
Picture 3 Closeup of the damage. It looks UGLY.
Picture 4 Side view closeup of damage.
Picture 5 Rear side fender damage
Picture 6 Driver's side rear fender well... as you can see there is obviously some frame damage as it is no longer uniform.

Bah, thats barely a scratch...

and your picture 6 caption.. there's no obvious frame damage just because the body crumpled like that. Bodies are supposed to crumple while leaving the frame untouched.
