Are you sure that it's brand new?

Not demo, or manager's car, or tester car?

Damn $17,500 is a great price.

Wait a sec, no cruise control?

Green of all colors. I would have chose white, blue, black, red or some silvery color.

Still a great deal considering it's an '03 but it still drives like a BOAT but a very nice quiet, smooth & refined boat

Post some pics when you can.

LMAO!!! AHAHA, good choice there. Camrys may not be pavement peelers are corner carvers, but they will last you forever and their quality is second to none in this segment.

Good Choice Man... went for the Camry After all. Too bad Camry doesn't come in Manual no more.

You can get the SE @ LE with a manual tranny...but it's only strapped to the 157HP 4-banger. If you want a 200HP V6 Camry with a manual tranny, you have to get the Camry Solara

Just watch out in the snow. We have a 2001 Camry LE, it's pretty crappy during snowstorms, surprisingly enough. Doesn't get any traction, once you are moving you can't stop, it just keeps going and going, with the ABS working like crazy, at least you can steer! It tends to understeer in icy conditions, then abrubtly oversteer, which can cause you to hit a curb, parked car etc. I was completely unimpressed with it's snow ability, considering it's FWD and its reputation.

Ah yes...
Though I do have to agree... ABS with a crappy stock tires and heavy car can be a lifesaver, especially the typical driver in a panic situation.

Most people that panic fail to use ABS for what it's desighn is really meant for... to be able to steer your vehicle while braking.

"Anti-lock" (ABS) systems, originally developed for aircraft braking systems, use computer controlled valves to limit the pressure delivered to each slave cylinder. If a wheel locks up, steering input cannot affect the car's direction. With ABS, no matter how hard the pedal is pressed, each wheel is prevented from locking up. This prevents skidding (and allows the driver to steer while panic-braking)

Actually, my ABS has worked quite well on my Camry in wet conditions and in panic situations. Then again, I know how to make the most use of the sytem

Try your system with 285/70/R16 tires... it won't work the same

Procomp and a few other lift companies won't even warranty their lifts unless you disable the ABS due to ABS's nature to fail due to the tire size and weight

Hehe, too bad I'm used to all that gee-whiz electro gadget shiznit My dad's Highlander Limited has:

ABS
Electronic Traction Control (self explanatory)
Electronic Stability Program (keeps you from turning into a greasy spot on the windshield in quick, high-speed maneuvers)
Electronic Brake Distribution (wheels can be braked individually on demand)

I've run up against ALL of those considering how I gun that thing

What about that Hill Descent thing?

Also does the ESP really work? Hae you felt that you are about to lose control and suddenly the car straightens out? I've never been in a car with ESP so I"m wondering how it works.
