Meh, Louisiana is probably +90% Christian and it has the most liberal liquor laws in the nation. You can purchase cocktails at drive-through windows:

Cool story, brah.
In all seriousness, It is rather nice that you can get jacked on Sundays now in Georgia.
Shiraz is hardly considered alcohol. You can't even buy wine or beer on a sunday?
packy runs"?

Blue Laws. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_laws
Technically, in Mass stores can't sell booze on Sunday either, but border communities like mine are exempt to protect tax revenue.
I bought a bottle of Jim Bean and that German liquor that tastes like NyQuil today in MA. Burlington considered a border region? They must be really lax on what they consider border communities.
Bought a bottle of Shiraz. Never tried it. Had plenty of beer so didn't want to buy more.
Now when will I have to stop driving to the county line to buy hard liquor...
Nope nothing.
Anyone know how similar a Shiraz is to a merlot or a malbec?
Depends on what quality of shiraz it is. Shiraz/syrah are typically quite a bit heavier bodied than merlot and malbec, which to me are typically thin and too fruit forward.
You'll also get cheap australian or south american shiraz that is very fruit forward, heavy alcohol content, and pretty tasteless, so they'd compare well with merlot.
You're an idiot...
Nope, I'm not, you just made a thread about how you don't have to drive out of state to buy "hard liquor" because you just bought a bottle of wine without doing it...
