Well since I've never tried it before I got a cheap bottle: Yellow Tail Reserve
Yellow tail is some of the shittiest shiraz/syrah I've ever had. I had it one day just because I was looking for a cheap buzz, I'll never be buying it again.
Look for a decent california syrah, something from the Paso Robles or Sonoma region, or a south american shiraz that has been made/overseen by a good winemaker.
