I thought you guys could buy beer and other booze in grocery stores and corner stores everywhere down there? Lucky bastards.

Nope nothing.
Anyone know how similar a Shiraz is to a merlot or a malbec?

That is a damn good Mead from Dansk Mjod. I love the mead with a little bit of hibiscus and hops in it!
That said, my favorite is a very very potent sack mead called Jadwiva Apis Poltorok... around 40 proof, and aged for pretty much forever... so fvckin good
No. it's generally county to county.
Hilariously, Jack Daniels is distilled in a dry county. You can take the tour, but no samples allowed. They will take you up to the mash bin or whatever, and lift the lid for you to get a healthy whiff.
Keep your jesus of my penis comes to min right now...
No. That's not a hipster noise... jesus
Yes it is. You just said If it's not then either you don't know what it is, or you don't have the capacity to explain what it is.
Ka kaw kkkaakkaaw kkakaw
^ like a crow.
Not, save some recent and small exceptions, across the length and breadth of the beautiful and verdant Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Also, in a slew of states mostly but by no means entirely confined to the Bozo Bible Belt South, it goes county by county -- some "dry", some "wet."
In many of the dry counties, no alcohol can be served or sold at all,and slaves are still owned.

Did anyone say Mjød?
Skål!
Where can I get mead? does Berkeley Bowl sell mead?
I need some mead to accompany me through my next Skyrim session.
:hmm:
looooooooooool Dansk Mjød is a small mom and pop's style bussiness not far from where I live, you people actually get their products in America
.............. AMERICA
lower case
Clearly I am drinking shitty beer
But I thought you wanted to be a hipster?
Yea, my keyboard doesn't have those funny characters since I'm a yank. Anyhow, Dansk Mjod is awesome. I have tried several of their drinks, all are excellent.
If you come back to IL, I have about 30 bottles of sack Mead that I brewed left over. It's been aged about 1 year. (Out of two different 5 gallon batches.)
I plan to brew another batch starting in the spring...
Otherwise, I can tell you about 10 stores in Illinois that carry Mead.
Cost Plus World Market, is there one of those out by you? I think I've seen mead at one of the ones around me before.
Please be aware, there are a variety of meads out there, some are good, some are not real meads and are horrible.
The absolute worst one that I've ever had is without a doubt, Bunratty Meade. If you see that shit, break the bottles in the store so that nobody foolishly buys it thinking it's Mead.
The best I've had is the Jadwiga, but anything by Dansk Mjod is very very good as well.
Chaucers is like the watered down mainstream mead, it's not bad, but IMO nothing too special. Otherwise, it's possible if there's any Apiory's near you, they might brew their own mead, or I'm sure there's gotta be a number of winery's in CA, some of them may brew mead on the side too...
small world sometimes.
And now we know more about the vicinity where you live. It's only a matter of time now Broheim.

I just cracked open the Viking Blod. First time I've had it. It packs a punch for mead.
