I bought some Aleeve cold and sinus last winter at the Walgreens near my house. About a week later I was at work and really needed one, but had left the medicine at home. So I walk to the Walgreens near my office and try to buy another box (which sucked, because that shit ain't cheap, but I needed it).

My purchase was declined. Fucking declined. Because I'd bought a box a week earlier. I normally don't get pissed over the daily shit that happens in life, but this really got to me. Fucked up meth heads ruined my ability to just get some fucking cold meds. I wasn't sure if I was more mad at them, or the government for treating me like a child by telling me what I can buy and when I can buy it.

Luckily my friend is the pharmacist there, and knows I'm not a fucking meth head. She bought it for me.

can't you pay in cash or something? the only limitation i have is i'm not allowed to buy more than 2 packs of ibuprofen etc at a time but i can make more than 1 transaction.

if you have to show ID, then what to people that don't have a drivers licence do?

i have chrons, so part of that is my immune system is always on red alert. i hardly ever get sick, and if i do its usually just a week or so of phlem to spit out.

but this time... man it hit me. the sudafed is working though, ive had a clear head today.. with just some nasty coughups here and there. i feel completely out of it though, completely exhausted

Several years ago Sudafed or any OTC drugs with Pseudoephedrine has been a big target of shoplifters. You can see some shelves cleaned out, empty on the aisles. Before the regulations store managers begin to store them behind Rx or at the front end cashiers. Today some of them will just post a shelf card on the shelf to tell you to go to the Rx and buy them there.

Where I'm at you have to have a doctor phone in that it is ok for you to buy it. I make my doctor phone in every three months. Sucks. The other uncool thing is you use to be able to get 30 in a blister pack for a buck. Now all I can get is the extended release 120mg for $10.00.

True, but I think your allowed to buy 2 boxes a week IIRC, that should be enough for most situations. Meth is a life-wrecking drug so IMO I can live with this minor inconvenience to help stop this poison from getting made so easily..

No ID, no sale. Doesn't matter if you pay cash or with credit card. The limit is usually 3.6 grams of PSE a day (federal, can be less per state), and 9 grams a month (could also be less per state). This usually means you can buy only one highest-count box in a day, and another one tomorrow, and then you can't for the entire month.
