Just Checking If Everything's Compatible

My computer will be used primarily for schoolwork and gaming (when there's time).
I want to spend around $700-$800, but there's a bit of leeway there.
I'll be buying from the USA, probably from Newegg, since I'm familiar with their site, but anything's open.
I've had good luck with nVidia GPUs so far, and want to stay with their cards (eVga if possible),
but I'm open to any other brands for Mobo, CPU, RAM, etc.
I do have a Case, HDDs, monitor, keyboard, speakers, mouse, and PSU.

The PSU is a Corsair HX620W, so it should be enough to power all these components:

My main game right now is Supreme Commander Forged Alliance, a game well known for taxing systems.
I'd like to finally be able to pump the visual effects to the max (or at least higher than my 7800GTX can do).

If anyone has any other ideas for my setup, please let me know.

Overclocking that q6600 ? I would for sure. Might want to get a arctic freezer 7 pro or tuniq tower for overclocking though.

I'd get this ram instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16820231122 and there's even cheaper ram, after rebates, as cheap as 60$, so look around !

Videocard, I could agree with the 8800gts, but the 9600gt ? Why not this 8800gt then ? http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814127329 Cheaper and faster then the 9600gt.

^ I'm with marc, get the 8800GT. His RAM suggestion is also better.

Switch the cpu to an e4500 and use the extra cash for GPU imho.

Nothing wrong with a Q6600... He already plans to get a strong GPU, so why not get a quad-core for the one game optimized for it?

My weaker setup (E4500 @ E6850 speeds, 2GB DDR2-800, 8800GT) can play FA at high at 1680 x 1050, you should tear it a new one.
