Geez! Another place NOT on my bucket list to live. At least in NH, worst of it is some very cold temps** or an occasional blizzard - nowhere as scary as really high winds and flooding.@Ajay I’m within 30 minutes of Galveston and the bay. That pic is of our neighborhoods retention pond. It’s about 12ft deep and 1/2 mile long. It never has waves.
** and temps seem to be a bit higher every winter.
With South Texas of course sneaking into the above normal of course. Ugh that heat dome that has been killing Mexico (literally) is back.If the CPC is to be believed, the first two weeks of June will be below normal for much of the country:

22 is too chilly for me. I prefer something like 24 to 26 and don't mind that much till 30.So I aim to get it to like 22 and I'm happy with that.
That happens to me between 35 and 40.30 and it's so bad that the sweat keeps dripping in my eyes.
We don't even have AC in the house. There might be 4-5 days each year where it would be nice to have...but we just open windows and doors...sooner or later, the nice cool ocean breezes kick in...and the temps drop quickly. So far, I have not had the AC on at all this year. If I make it though the next 2-3 days without, it could be another week before it warms up to that point again. No AC into the middle of June would be VERY rare indeed. Often it's on at least a few days in May.
