We don't even have AC in the house. There might be 4-5 days each year where it would be nice to have...but we just open windows and doors...sooner or later, the nice cool ocean breezes kick in...and the temps drop quickly.

The bigger issue here is the humidity. Temps can be in the 80s, but only drop to the 70s at night and the air gets so thick it's hard to breathe. Moisture literally clings to things inside the house with out some level of AC or a dehumidifier.

I only have one 6K BTU window AC, but it may be set to 78 or above, just to dry the air a bit. It has a remote with a thermostat, so it comes on and off instead of running full time.

I find humidity is a given when it's hot. I've been trying to tough it and not run my AC as much but I notice that cold surfaces like water pipes and the toilet tank start to get condensation build up.

I have it running now though, it's 25C in my home office so I gave in.

Today is the third excessive heat warning of the year and it's fucking June 4th. Until last year I don't think we have ever had more than 5 excessive heat warning days in a year.

25C here, sweating buckets just moving a few things around outside, didn't even start on what I wanted to. Impromptu bought a generator, and had some wood in the truck to unload too. Then figured while I was sweating I may as well do the lawn so did that. Just finished taking a cold shower. I'm done outsiding for today. Time for water and then beer.

Suppose to go up to 30 tomorrow. I think that will be a stay inside day.

I don't know how you people with consistent 30+ do it. It's not the heat that's so bad it's the sweating. It just drags me right down and makes me feel sticky and miserable.

last day for heat here. Cold front is sweeping across the Great Lakes bringing rain, thunderstorms and a tornado watch yesterday in NorthWestern Ontario - north of Lake Superior next to Manitoba.

Rain today and showers lingering for the weekend with temps in the high teens.

A day like today I'm definitely happy to have A/C. 27C right now, just went outside to put some garbage out and it hit like a wall. Sure enough they are announcing a thunderstorm this evening. I called it lol.

My truck said 85 degrees at 7:55am this morning. Right now it's 91 and supposed to be 105. We don't have the humidity like Tx though so it's tolerable. But definitely going for a dip in the pool after work! Will be my first dip of the season.

Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for my area. Looks like tonight is going to be messy.

^^^ Weather Service Office in my area issued over 200 combined warnings (Severe Thunderstorm, Tornado, and Flash Flood) in May. Primarily on two single day events.

Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for my area. Looks like tonight is going to be messy.

Fun, guessing we might get the tail end of that system. They're only announcing rain here but clouds are starting to come in and are pretty dark. Still +30 now with a 35 humidex.

Thanks to kids' sports, I'm already super tanned by end of May. Cooler weather is actually fine so the kids aren't so miserable when we practice.
