Just curious....how is the weather in your neck of the woods?

It was something like 107 yesterday and I was dreading having to go to a graduation last night. It turned out to be pretty pleasant. They moved the ceremony to a later start time, and we were only in the sun for about 30 mins. The best was there was a nice steady breeze so I think during the ceremony it was around 90 with the breeze.

Getting a break today, as dewpoint is only in the mid 60s so heat index only about 105 so far at 3PM (with temperature at 99).

Supposed to be more of the same for the next 3 - 4 days.

Overall has been just beautiful weather for the most part the last two weeks. Today a nice high near 80, low humidity, partly cloudy/mostly sunshine, a nice breeze at times. Walked almost 7 miles today, just the dog, running a couple errands, meeting a friend at a block party thrown by a great local bar with good music, beers, and food. This is a perfect weekend day.

Indeed. One fo the AC guy I used loaned me his two window units until he could come and get it fix on Friday. Two was good but not enough for a two stories home. One for living room and one for kids room. This morning I gone to Walmart and pickup another one just for the master bedroom.

Still in the mid 60s when typical would be in the mid 80s.

What's even more odd is that it did this last year on almost the same dates, June 6 to 12 or so.

Previous years were upper 80s to low 90s.

First time in quite a while that the 7 day forecast has not shown any mention of rain.

Had a storm roll through this morning that dropped our high to 94. Still 2 degrees above what the average temp for June 10th would be.

Currently 53 degrees which is unusual, but not unheard of. Had similar last year on this date. But it may well be the last sub-55 degree night until September.

Officially 86 today and still no AC turned on.

I open everything I can at night to let cool air in. At 53 last night, the house cooled to 67 by dawn. Then I close everything and keep the cool in. Only rose to about 75 now.

That doesn't work as well when the nights stay above about 65 which will be starting in the next few days. Forecast for upper 90s over the weekend so AC will be on for the first time.

LOL we were up to 33C today and that's as cool as it has been in almost a month. Even though 31.8C is what the historical average temperature for this day should be in San Antonio. So another much hotter than average summer, third year in a row.

I'm guessing today is the last of the No AC days for a while.




I don't keep it on all the time though, usually just late afternoon and evening. Still, the electric bill goes up.

Those night temps are what makes it worse, no cooling off to refresh the air.

A good breeze and partly sunny. Quite a nice summer day in my opinion.
