Dropped to 15C and we have a crazy storm right now, power went out, tons of wind, and TWO tornado warnings. Said to take cover immediately. Working from home so will keep an eye out and I am definitely ready to go in the basement if it gets bad. I'm on inverter power and lot of my coworkers are offline so holding the fort for now!

Clouds right before the warning came in.

My solar voltage was down so running on genny now. Literally bought it like a few days ago lol. I don't even know how much gas is in it. I have it powering one of my rectifiers which runs my servers and workstation. The batteries on that setup are only temporary.

As I post this (got lot of phone calls and work stuff going on since I started the post) the storm is mostly done now but power still out as of about 45 min ago. Was a rather quick storm.

Lol 3rd tornado warning just came in. Calm before the real storm?

God tornadoes are scary. Thought I was dead as I felt the air being sucked out of the bedrooms under the closed doors and through the hallway when one passed over my house when I was 11 or so. Luckily only took off a bunch of roof shingles, pulled the electric meter off the side of the house, and took down a tree in the yard. Oh and carried off my damn above ground pool (no water in it at the time).

Thankfully this is not the sort of thing we get here so I think the odds of actually having one touch down is super slim but still pretty scary when there's warnings like this! That wind was quite something.

Power is back on now, the storm was actually pretty short lived and sun is out and it already went up to 17C.

Suppose to be in the 30's on Monday and Tuesday, I'm surprised that forecast did not change since storms like this usually make the weather cool down for like a week. Going to be out on my property that day as they're clearing land, think I'll bring my swim suit. Hopefully they don't run into any issues with the equipment overheating and I hope for their sake there's AC in their equipment's cab!

Environment Canada has issued a Marine Tornado watch/warning for the Lake Huron/Georgian Bay area.

Severe thunderstorms are crossing into MidWestern Ontario this evening. Some storms are expected in SouthWestern Ontario near Windsor. Thunderstorm watches are in effect all around me but not my area yet.

Ludicrously cold.

I will have to revise my theory that winter consists of November, December, January, February, March, April, May (with summer being June, July, August, September, and October being autumn - there is no such season as Spring), and shift "June" into winter.

I get chills on some days in summer around 9 AM to 11 AM, even though it's bright and sunny and HOT outside. Weather is becoming more and more unpredictable. Mother Earth trying to do its best to bring balance. We may even end up losing seasons altogether in the Middle East. It might become summer all year around, with some windy and chilly days in between at random moments.

Saw some videos that people took yesterday of the storm. There really did seem to be a funnel cloud that was starting to form! It was moving quick. I don't think there was a confirmed touch down but it definitely was enough activity to justify the warnings we got.

Very predictable in my area though. Just take the historical average for the date and add 5 degrees, works year round for San Antonio. Except sometimes you have to add 10.

We still have seasons at least in San Antonio though. It's just that our spring got shifted to mid January this year.

Been cooler today. 11C overcast.

A cathedral steeple got hit by lightning in last night's storm. News article about it and someone also managed to get it on video, you can see the tip of it behind that house.

89 F feels like 93 F. Dew point is 70° with the relative humidity at 54%.

Dew point > 70F around here in New England isn't fun.

Extended forecast isn't awesome, but it is June, though next week has July like temps.

Thank god our dewpoints have backed off some now that the grass is all dead in San Antonio. Still uncomfortable but a daytime dew point of 69 and a temp of 97 is a lot better than last month when the first big heat dome came in and we had dew point around 75 with temp 100-103.

Seattle weather folks say that summer starts on July 5th.

It’s amazing how a small change in dew-point can wreck an otherwise
hot, but beautiful day.

Starting Sunday evening temps are expected to increase dramatically here. The heatwave is going to last all week.

Heat warnings are being readied for Monday onward. Temps around 34C are expected all week with high humidity making it feel like 40+C.

My AC is going to be working hard again.

I need to get duct cleaners in since my reno just finished. Then I can be ready for summer.
