I have no doubt if I spoke the language, I would be able to track down nice woods. But I only went to the local hardware stores (three to choose from, all had the same supplier). I recreated the door three times at a cost of more than $20 each. If it had been nice wood, the price tag could have been much higher. It was my first time working with wood. It won't be the last time though, and I'll only improve with more experience and time
dude.. thats much better then my first attempts at cutting cases even.
i find it hard to believe its your first time..
I find it hard to believe you haven't suggested water yet!
Wow very well done! It's far from "crap materials" and the carpentry is nicely executed. It could not have been any better if your happy with the end result. I'm a carpenter of 19 years
Agreed! but as a carpenter of almost 20 years and miahallen of one project, Aigo of water renowned in pc circles, and myself, an old hack of too many moons must also agree, a work like this is never done.
Mia, now that you have shown to yourself you can, you will. A simple statement of fact, it is an art that we take pleasure in doing. Completion is only a temporary thing, we stop, sit back and critique what we have done and enjoy the moment but tomorrow we pick up our hammer and saw and do it again.
Congrats, you have done a beautiful job with this and I look forward to your future works.
