Uh ..... I guess you haven't noticed, the cost of parts are quite low and keep dropping.

Thats also why its getting harder to RMA legit breakdowns, too much BS "I broke it trying to bee 1337 0c'3r but now I cant replace it because I'm poor and now the company should give me another one just to shut me up" kind of mentality

I hope the next time somebody says they are going to RMA a part they broke because of stupidity has their next build BLOW UP IN THEIR FACE!!!!

At least the parent poster said he was not going to try RMA because it was his/her fault

You're right on that one. I had to RAM two sticks of Corsair Value Select CAS 2.5 DDR400 a few months ago because they were bad sticks and boy was that a hassle. So I called up ASUS and we walked through some tests and they verified that it was indeed the memory and they finally took back the RAM and said that it really was defective. I wasn't mad at all because I had Crucial RAM (DDR333) as a backup but it would be nice if people didn't con companies like that.

Actually, I draped the wires over the edge of the case and the soldering was done outside. The drip fell off the tip of the soldering iron as I pulled it back.
